As Chief Marketing Officer, Teresa brings over two decades of global business-to-business marketing experience, brand building and reinvention, double-digit revenue growth, digital and agile marketing, omni-channel and client-centric strategies for the IT and professional services industries. In her current role as Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Publicis Sapient, Teresa leads all aspects of Marketing and Communications, including: brand management, customer experience, corporate communications and media relations. She is reinvigorating the brand, repositioning the company, evolving the industry, and build the company’s market leadership position to drive profitable growth.
Prior to Joining Publicis Sapient, Teresa was the CMO for Deloitte Consulting LLP, helping to initiative over $8 billion in sales. During her time at Deloitte, she transformed the marketing organization and the company’s approach to be customer-centric and growth-focused. Additionally, she created an agile talent model, optimized and industrialized the marketing operating model, accelerated revenue growth by 7% while helping to establish Deloitte as the leading professional services brand in the world.
Teresa’s marketing career has included senior leadership positions with large technology companies, including IBM and Accenture, and startup software organizations such as Lotus. In her previous roles at Accenture and IBM, Teresa grew double-digit sales and revenue, created market differentiation and industry leadership positions for each of the businesses. She also evolved the companies’ marketing approaches to be customer centric, issues-based, outcomes focused and digital enabled; while successfully introducing new and innovative marketing strategies.
Known as an innovator, creative and strategic thinker, she makes the complex simple and converts challenges into opportunities. Teresa has worked and lived in the US, Canada, and Europe and has spent most of her career leading and transforming marketing organizations, launching new companies or lines of business, managing global and multi-disciplinary teams and fostering a culture of courage and experimentation to drive growth.
Teresa earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University in Boston and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. As an active mentor and advocate to grow talent, she mentors young women and serves in non-profit committees and organizations in the Toronto area.
